Comments:
This work was written in 2008 in memory of Adolfo Salazar and dedicated to the Conservatory that bears his name, who first suggested to me. The title is a reminiscence of the most famous composition by Salazar, but it does not take directly materials nor the underlying poems by Omar Kayam. I have kept the idea of the short poem and the work consists of seven chained pieces not very long. The book uses Cello and three wind eindeood instruments: flute, oboe and clarinet. The cello doesn't act as a solo instrument but as a relatively dominant one. The entire play takes place around the timbral differences and colors that suggest an abstract poematic evocation, since Tomás Marco does not rely on specific poems.
