He lives in Costa Rica, where he combines composing with other activities like: Dean at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Costa Rica. He has 40 works, some of them have been performed by: National Symphonic Orchestra of Costa Rica. Seattle Chamber Players. Wind Ensemble Cornell University. Orchestra of the University of IOWA, etc. , in countries such as: Russia, Holland, United States of America, México, Chile, Cuba. He has obtained the following prizes:National Award in music Aquileo Echeverría (1997, for Escenas infantiles; 1998, for Bagatelas and Cantata; 2001, for Miniaturas; 2003, for Amighetti) and the Composers and Authors music association award in San José (2001, for Suite Ausencia). | |||
