He lives in Spain, where he combines composing with other activities like: He is one of the founders of the Catalan Association of Composers and from 1981 to 1992 he was its president. In the present time he is the director of the Contemporary Music foundation and he is professor of History and music aesthetics at the High Municipal Conservatory of Music of Barcelona. He has 50 works, some of them have been performed by: Its works have been recorded and performed by different orchestras and national and international ensembles, and have been edited by Southern-Music, Seesaw Music Corp., of New York; Simrock, of Hamburg; Catalana d’Edicions Musicals and Cilvis-ACC, of Barcelona, etc. , in countries such as: Spain, United States, etc. He has obtained the following prizes:His ballet Ombra obtained the Prize Ferran Sors in 1984. He has obtained the prize in composition Ciutat de Barcelona (1986) by his work Concert for violoncello and orchestra. | |||
